Toastmasters International
Officer Training and Area Speech Competition Set for Thursday, February 26 in the Orr Center
Toastmasters International is a campus organization that provides students of all majors with the opportunity to improve their public speaking and leadership skills.
Every Tuesday at 4:30pm in the Orr Center (room 2011), our members come together to practice their public speaking skills in a fun and exciting way. At each meeting two people give a short 5-7 minute speech about whatever subject they choose. Afterwards, speakers receive constructive criticism and praise from other group members.
Just want to watch?
We welcome any and all guests who might be interested in seeing what we do. So stop in, grab a snack, and enjoy!
Not yet ready to give a speech, but you still want to help?
No problem! Every meeting features many other positions such as jester, grammarian/"ah" counter, timer, and others that give members the opportunity to play an important role while speaking for a much shorter period of time.
Anyone from ANY Major!
