Q: How much does it cost for me to join?
A:The student Toastmasters club is supported by the
Accounting Circle, an advisory board for accounting programs at USI. All
student fees are paid by funds raised by the club or donated by the Accounting Circle.
Q: Is the club only available to accounting students?
A: No! We welcome everyone equally. If you're interested, we'd love to have you.
Q: I am not a very good public speaker and I am afraid that people will laugh at me. Will they?
A: Of course not. We are all in this together, trying to become better speakers and leaders. Members learn and
practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are also there to become
better communicators. Members learn to introduce speakers, give prepared
speeches, conduct meetings, give impromptu talks, and perform many other roles.
Constructive evaluation is at the heart of the Toastmasters learn-by-doing program.
Great speakers and leaders are not born; they are made. Toastmasters can help!
